LTC Phoenix Admiral’s Regatta 2018
Raced over the weekend of 20-22 April, this year’s regatta attracted over 50 boats from Yacht Clubs right around
the Cape Peninsula. The offshore fleet enjoyed fresh consistent winds and the inshore fleet dealt with everything the
bay could throw at them, ranging from 0 knots to 26 knots!
Regatta Director Peter Roeloffze and his team spent several months planning both on and off the water events and
the general consensus from the sailors was ‘we’ll be back!

Huge thanks to Photographer Alec Smith, who spent three days on the water getting some incredible images of all
the boats. Alec’s images can be viewed on the imagemundi website.
NOTE: Alec sells his images at a very reasonable rate – please support him by purchasing some. With the magnificent
backdrop of Chapmans Peak and the Sentinel, they make beautiful sailing images to cherish and print.
Thank you to those of you who tracked your boats on Race QS. The regatta can be viewed on the RaceQS platform.
