SUPs, Paddlers and Rowers in the Bay
It was great to see the bay full of everything that floats over the weekend of our Admiral’s Regatta. Dave Marrs and colleagues from Simonstown, brought two of their rowing quads over the hill to join SUPs, Prone Paddlers and Kayaks, enjoyed perfect conditions in the bay.
The Rowers went as far out as Seal Island, whilst the rest of the paddlers had a friendly race around the HBYC race marks, crossing over the bay to Ore Jetty and round Tintswalo. Many thanks also to Paolo Lupini and his daughter Gabriella for mustering quite a crowd of paddlers (what is the collective noun for paddlers … a scoop?). Photographer Alec Smith, spotted the paddlers in the bay, grabbed his camera and leapt on to one of the HBYC
