Experienced crew members share their expertise withnewcomers, and all levels of rowers are welcome, from complete beginners to Oxfordand Cambridge Blues. We have a diverse group of members ranging in ages from 20sto 80s. Crews may be mixed, men’s or women’s crews and are often a combinationof more experienced rowers and beginners. 

Discover the pleasure of working together as a crew,sharing training, laughs and encouragement, powering the Leopard across the bay.Commitment grows, skills are passed on and new friendships are forged throughteamwork on the water. Train hard together on longer cardio rows or enjoy more chilledsocial rows amongst pods of dolphins watching sunfish and seals, maybe even adistant whale, then relax in Hout Bay Yacht Club afterwards for a well-earnedcoffee, drink or dinner, exchanging rowing stories. Your rowing membershipincludes full Yacht Club membership offering weekly Hunter yacht racing events,monthly rowing socials, the club raffle every Friday evening and a wide rangeof social events from live music, big matches and wine tastings to bridge club.
